1717 H Street, NW in Washington, DC plays host to multiple GSA tenants. KGO
Project Management performed full project management services for the design and
construction of several GSA clients including commercial interior build-outs
ranging in size from 68,000 sf to 60,000 sf and 12,000 sf. KGO Project
Management represented the landlord and worked closely with the GSA and the end
user government clients throughout all phases of each project. We managed all
aspects of the billing and payment process and were responsible for maintaining
and providing the administrative backup necessary to fulfill the GSA’s
requirements for approval.
Project management services included procurement of the architect and engineers,
design management, preliminary cost studies, contractor procurement, contract
negotiations, audiovisual coordination, information technology coordination,
voice and data cabling vendor procurement and management, furniture vendor
assistance, coordination with the landlord and management of the tenant
improvement allowance, security vendor coordination and relocation services. We
were responsible for maintaining the project schedule and budget. There were
several challenges associated with these projects due to schedule and security;
however, despite these difficult challenges, the projects was completed
successfully on time and within budget.
