FRENCH INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL
BETHESDA, MD
Mr. Kennington performed the owner’s representative services for the French International
School during the conceptual design and special exception application for a Potomac,
Maryland site. The site included twenty acres on River Road. The project was designed
to serve a student population of 1600 and the approximate construction cost was $24 million.
Responsibilities included developing request for qualifications for architectural and
engineering team, assistance in the selection of the architect and engineers, developing
the preliminary budget, administration of conceptual design and other studies related to
the pending special exception application.
Due to the unfavorable response from the Potomac community, the French International
School withdrew the application and abandoned plans to develop this site.
