LAKESIDE TECHNOLOGY CENTER
CHICAGO, ILLINOIS

Mr. Kennington and Ms. Gunenc performed full project management services throughout the design and construction of this 1,2 million square feet mixed-use facility. Our responsibilities included procuring the design-builder and managing the project from inception to final completion. We also handled all coordination associated with the permit approval process with the City of Chicago’s Department of Buildings.

The design and construction of the project was fast-tracked so that the first tenant, occupying 200,000 sf, could occupy in 9 months from the start of design.

Working with the historic review board, we’ve overseen the historic façade renovations.

Lakeside Technology Center was formally the historic R.R. Donnelley Headquarters and Printing Plant originally constructed in the 1920’s. The building was re-developed into the country’s largest telecommunications facility dedicated to serving mission critical co-location and carrier neutral telecommunication equipment.

We also managed the design and construction of approximately 5 miles of fiber optic ducts installed in the public right-of-ways.
