Mr. Kennington performed full project management service from contract negotiations through move-in and occupancy of this project. This building became the headquarters for four non-profit college associations: American Association of State Colleges and Universities, (AASCU) American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education, (AACTE), Council for the Advancement and Support of Education, (CASE) and National Association of State Universities and Land-Grant Colleges, (NASULGC).

The existing building, built in the 1920’s, was completely renovated including: adding three floors to the top of the building; a full façade restoration; conversion of the basement area to basement parking; and new interior construction throughout.

Our responsibilities included leading the associations’ team of design professionals during the due-diligence study period of the existing building conditions, the review of the base building design plans and specifications, making recommendations regarding changes to these plans, implementing these changes in the documents, review and management of the associations’ tenant improvement plans, negotiating the cost of the tenant improvements and daily administration of the construction for the four education associations.
